In an attempt to contribute to raising the necessary funds to fight the Corona epidemic, Barcelona's football club decided to assign the title rights to its stadium "Camp Nou" next season, for the first time in its history.

The Catalan club said in a statement a few days ago, that it agreed to assign the ownership rights of the "Camp Nou" stadium for the 2020-2021 season to the Barcelona Charity Foundation, in order to raise funds for investment in ongoing research in Catalonia and the rest of the world in the framework of combating the repercussions of the Corona pandemic.

But a tweet from Africa aroused the wrath of the Blaugrana fans and their fans, as media adviser to Nigerian President Mohamed Buhari wrote on Twitter, calling on Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo to buy the stadium and give his name to him.

"Dear Cristiano, he bought the Camp Nou stadium, and he called it CR7 (CR7)," Chancellor Bashir Ahmed added in his tweet, referring to the title of Madeira Media Rocket and his fans.

The media advisor is a fan of the former Real Madrid star who moved to play in the Italian Juventus shirt.

Barcelona is to set up a fund to support income from the sale of property rights to its stadium name. The stadium with a capacity of nearly 99,000 spectators - the largest in Europe - will retain the name "Camp Nou" alongside the name of the new sponsor.

Spain is considered one of the countries most affected by the Corona virus in the world, after it resulted in more than 22 thousand declared deaths, out of more than 213 thousand infections so far.
