The executive committee of the body, meeting Thursday in videoconference, "confirmed the postponement of the Euro ladies 2021" which will be disputed in England from July 6 to 31, 2022. It is planned to use "the same stages as those planned originally, "added UEFA in a statement.

At the beginning of April, the European confederation had already validated the principle of postponing this tournament but without specifying the new dates.

"When we had to urgently decide to postpone the Euro-2020 men (postponed to 2021), we always had in mind the impact on the Euro-2021 ladies", explained the president of the UEFA, Slovenian Aleksander Ceferin, quoted in a statement.

The last Women's Euro, disputed in 2017, was won at home by the Netherlands, victorious in the Danish final.
