The German football championship, stopped since mid-March because of the new coronavirus pandemic, is ready to resume on May 9, if the German authorities give the green light, announced the president of the League (DFL), Christian Seifert, Thursday. The Bundesliga is the first of the major European championships, all stopped since mid-March, to set up a recovery schedule without spectators.

In France, the professional championships (Ligue 1, Ligue 2) and the National (which brings together professional, semi-professional and amateur clubs) have not been aborted for the current season. In the lower divisions, the FFF established the classification based not on the number of points accumulated over all games played, but on the ratio of the number of points per game played.
