Reducing the financing of Rubin and the loyalty of sponsors Zenith

The coronavirus pandemic did not become an obstacle to the historic transaction between CSKA and the state-owned development corporation VEB.RF. The latter on Wednesday acquired a 77.63% stake in the club and became the main owner of the army.

A new board of directors of red and blue was also formed, which included four representatives of VEB.RF (Maxim Oreshkin, Igor Krasnov, Alexander Chebotaryov and Alexander Plutnik), as well as CSKA president Evgeny Giner, club director general Roman Babaev and mail.ru director general Group Boris Dobrodeev.

At the same time, the chairman of VEB.RF Igor Shuvalov emphasized that despite the change of ownership, the development course of CSKA will remain the same, and Giner “will retain the management of the club”. In response, the president of red and blue thanked the corporation for the constructive position and support of the club in difficult times.

“The chosen format will allow CSKA to restructure financial obligations and focus on sports results. We will continue to build a team that can solve the biggest problems. And I’m sure that having such loyal fans and such a powerful and reliable partner, the club will regain its leading position in Russian football in the near future, ”CSKA press service quotes Giner.

If the army team managed to solve some of the problems thanks to a deal with VEB.RF, then Rubin, on the contrary, may lose a solid part of sponsorship. According to Мetaratings, the TAIF group of companies intends to reduce the club’s funding from at least 70% at least next season.

Allegedly, TAIF planned to allocate 2 billion rubles to the club, but now it can only be limited to 600 million. It is also reported that the group of companies has not fully paid with Rubin for the current season, since payments are tied to broadcasts.

In this situation, perhaps no RPL club can feel calm. However, the leadership of the reigning Zenith champion assured that most of the sponsors intend to continue cooperation with St. Petersburg.

Kokorin’s rich choice and Kazan option for Shatov

However, recently there has been enough news not only about the financial condition of the clubs, but also about possible transfers. The most lively discussion was caused by the future of Rostov head coach Valery Karpin. On Monday evening, Italian media reported on negotiations between the specialist and Lokomotiv, which have been going on for several weeks. The next day, the leadership of the railway workers denied this information. Karpin himself called it "news from nowhere."

“Smiled, laughed. I don’t understand where it comes from. I have a five-year contract with Rostov. Everything suits me in Rostov-on-Don, starting from the city and ending with the club. I don’t know what might affect my decision to leave, ”the Football Bigi channel quoted Karpin to Yandex.Zen.

If we talk about the players, then the greatest interest is the fate of Alexander Kokorin, who expires in late June, the current contract with Zenit. At the same time, the forward, on loan, is in favor of Sochi.

It is still unclear how the attacker's career will develop in the future. In an interview with famous journalist Nobel Arustamyan, he said that he was looking for a club in Europe. Alexander also said that Sochi intends to keep it.

And a little later, Kokorin answered the question about a possible extension of the agreement with Zenit. According to the player, the club told him that “this issue will be resolved before May,” but the matter has not yet reached the specifics. But the head coach of St. Petersburg Sergei Semak, who repeatedly emphasized that he needed Kokorin, did not miss the opportunity to do it again.

“Will Kokorin play for Zenit? I would like. Now he has a rental at Sochi. So far I can’t say what will happen next. Sasha wants to play. As a trainer, I say that Kokorin is one of the best RPL players, ”Semak said on live on the Children's Hospice on Instagram.

However, in the summer, Zenit will have to decide on the extension of the agreement not only with Kokorin, because in June six more Russian team players will expire, including Artyom Dziuba. Information on the extension of cooperation with any of them has not yet been received. Injured Oleg Shatov is very likely to leave St. Petersburg, and the main contender for the midfielder is Rubin.

It is not surprising that in this situation, the media send other players with Russian citizenship to Zenit, for example, left winger of Krylia Sovetov Anton Zinkovsky, who spent 20 matches in the current RPL season and gave them six assists.

Melgarejo's possible departure and interest in Fomin in Italy

A number of football players in the summer can leave and fighting for second place Krasnodar. However, the main event in the team’s camp over the past few days has become a scandal involving legionnaires of the Southerners Cayo and Vanderson.

While the rest of the team's players are on strict self-isolation, the Brazilians threw a party with alcohol. Moreover, Wanderson led the live broadcast of the event on Instagram, but later deleted the video. The footage shows how he not only drinks alcohol and smokes a hookah, but also inhales some gas from balloons.

The Zenit-2 coach and former Russian midfielder Vladislav Radimov reacted most harshly to the incident, who on Twitter called the Krasnodar players “nits”, but later deleted the post. But the club itself chose to lower the situation on the brakes and emphasized only that all players are in quarantine.

There is enough news about potential newcomers to the team. In particular, it was reported about the interest of the “southerners” in the 26-year-old left-back of the “Feyenoord” Rigesiano Haps and goalkeeper of the youth team of Albania Gentianu Selmani, who currently stands for the Turkish “Menemenspor”. Allegedly, Spartak also claims it. Later goalkeeper agent Deniz Uysal confirmed that there really is interest from his client in Russia.

And Spartak is still only losing players. In addition to Andre Schurrle, another legionnaire Lorenzo Melgarejo may leave the team, whose contract with the club will end in June. Nothing has been reported on its extension, although the agent of the football player Juan Upleyard stressed that at the moment the information about the departure of the Paraguayan from Spartak is "untrue."

And in Lokomotiv, Schurrle's fate seems to be repeated by João Mariou. According to the latest information, railway workers do not intend to buy the Portuguese contract from Inter, and he can go to the French Marseille.

In the near future, the young Ufa midfielder Daniil Fomin, who last year first received a call to the Russian national team, may also leave for Europe. According to the club’s general director Shamil Gazizov, Udinese is showing interest in the player.

“There is interest on the part of Udinese, but we have not received official proposals for the transition. Let’s wait until everything is open, then we’ll talk, ”the R-Sport quotes Gazizov’s words.

True, a little later, Metaratings published the words of the sports director of the Italian club, Marino Pierpalo, who denied the information that appeared.
