31-year-old Stenersen debuted in the World Cup in January 2015 and has during his career gained a podium position when he was a member of the team that won the relay in Hochfilzen in December 2018.
The past season has been heavier for Stenersen who had difficulty shooting. At best, in an individual start he has managed a 40th place.
