Next season, Stina Nilsson will try to take up the fight against Marte Olsbu Röiseland, Tiril Eckhoff and the rest of the world elite in biathlon.

She can ski, so preparations have largely been about learning to shoot. Nilsson is said to shoot 1200 shots a week.

By comparison, world champion Johannes Thingnes Bö shoots half as much during an intensive training week on the shooting ramp.

- 1200 shots per week is a great deal regardless of who you are comparing, says Norwegian biathlon manager Per Arne Botnan to VG.

- But the number of shots says nothing about the job you put down. I do not know how smart it is, because there is much else that one should focus on.

According to VG, the ammunition used for training costs about one crown per shot. For Nilsson, that would mean a cost of SEK 1200 a week - or SEK 4800 a month.
