Nadal is one of twelve confirmed names to compete from home with the help of a game console at the end of this month.

The competition will be broadcast live on TV and on social media, and around SEK 1.7 million can be found in the prize pool on both the men's and women's side. The winners then decide how much money they want to donate to other tennis players on the ATP and WTA tour, which has been tough financially when most competitions have been canceled due to the corona virus.

The Madrid Open was originally scheduled for May 1-10 and is one of many major tennis tournaments that have been affected.
