It all started with the mobilization of Cyril Dumoulin who called on sports enthusiasts to collect jerseys, crampons and other sports accessories belonging to big names to help fight the coronavirus. The goal is simple: sell these items at auction and donate all of them to nursing staff in the Nantes region. "I thought to myself that the 2001 title was very significant, that meant something for those who love sport," he explains on Europe 1. Over 13,000 euros raised thanks to his medal

A medal which attracted the lusts since, quickly, more than 3000 euros were bid. "A lot of supporters said it was not normal, that it was my medal. It surprised me so much," said the ex-Canaries coach between 1997 and 2001. "It cannot work.
