The Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to postpone the semi-final matches of the African Champions League and Confederation Cup until further notice, in light of the emerging epidemic of the Corona virus.

Al Kaf said in an official statement issued today, Saturday, that in light of the growing concerns and the changing nature of the Covid-19 virus, and amid the embargo in most countries, the emergency committee decided to postpone the following matches until further notice.

"The semi-final matches of the Champions League and the Confederation Cup, which are the round trips that were scheduled between 1 and 3 May and between 8 and 10 of the same month in 2020," Al-Kaf said in the statement.

The African Union also announced the postponement of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers, which were scheduled between 1 and 3 May, and between 15 and 17 of the same month.

Al-Kaf added that the new appointments will be announced later, confirming that he will closely follow the situation and work with the relevant authorities, including the World Health Organization, on the impact of the epidemic on the continent.
