Like many other teams in the Spanish High League, Real Sociedad chooses to lower the player squad's salaries as a result of the ongoing corona crisis.

On its website, the club announces that the team, which includes the Swedish national team striker Alexander Isak, will in future have their income reduced by 20 percent.

The club thanks the player squad

Due to the pandemic situation in the world, there is a pause in La Liga, which means a huge loss of income for the Spanish football clubs - and Real Sociedad is no exception.

"This decision, made with the players, helps us avoid traumatic actions for the rest of the staff and helps balance the club's financial goals, given the reduced income that has been the result of these months when the competition matches have ceased," writes "La Real ”on their website.

The club also seeks to thank the player team for their willingness to cooperate.

"At this point, we have to thank for the understanding, cooperation and generosity that the players have shown."

Earlier, among others, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Sevilla have lowered their player salaries in the Spanish league.
