The newspaper stressed that "the Italian and Spanish federations of football have expressed great doubts about the possibility of hosting the cities of Rome and Bilbao for the matches of Euro 2021, with the spread of Corona virus, and the huge economic effects caused by the global epidemic on the two countries in particular."

The newspaper added that «there are many other stadiums have become uncertain of its ability to host matches, given its preoccupation with sports events previously scheduled in the summer of 2021».

The newspaper confirmed that the English Football Association is still adhering to the holding of matches as scheduled at the famous Wembley Stadium in the capital, London, which will host the England national team matches, the semi-final matches and the final match.

The 16th edition of the European Football Cup was scheduled for the period between June 12 and July 12, 2020, on the stadiums of 12 cities in 12 European countries for the first time in the history of the competition, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the tournament, with the participation of 24 teams, and the cities are: « Amsterdam, Baku, Bilbao, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Munich, Rome and St. Petersburg ».
