The Italian Football Federation donated a symbolic shield "heart shield" to doctors, volunteers, the police and public services employees, especially since the completion of the season is uncertain due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, and indicated that the league may not be completed, so "the team of doctors is the champion of this season."

"A team like this needs support and appreciation from the country as a whole," the Italian Federation wrote in a short video clip released today, Friday, on its website.

The "Heart Shield" refers to the Italian League title, which may not be extradited, especially since the Italian government intends to extend the ban in the country until May 3.

It was scheduled to meet officials of the Italian Federation, Vincenzo Siadavora, Minister of Sports, on Friday, where the clubs discussed the future of the league, which remains at the end of 12 rounds only.

"We decided to move away from the sporting debate and choose these champions, without exaggeration, a confession that already exists in the hearts of people," said Italian Federation president Gabrielli Gravina.

The Italian Federation stated that it will hand over the heart shield when the health crisis ends in an event that will witness a confrontation between the Italian team and a selected group of civil servants.
