The English club Leeds United announced that the former international defender Norman Hunter has been infected with the new Corona virus.

Leeds United said in a statement: "We can confirm that the legend of Leeds United and England national team, Norman Hunter, is being treated in hospital after it is confirmed that he is infected with the Corona virus."

The statement added: "We would like to take this opportunity to remind the public and the media of the need to respect the privacy of Norman and his family and to give them the required space during these difficult times."
The 76-year-old Hunter played 726 games with Leeds in 15 years, during which he won two Premier League titles, a title in the FA Cup and a title in the Professional League Cup and participated in the team in the final of the European Cup in 1975, which ended in his defeat against Bayern Munich.
