Some may think that the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, who is a professional in Liverpool, is the best Arab scorer in the major European football leagues, but the truth is that Salah occupies the fourth place in the list of top scorers for the Arabs.

The top five European leagues include: Spanish, English, Italian, German and French.

Former Moroccan striker Hassan Aksabi is unique in the list of Arab historical scorers with 173 goals, scored during the fifties of the last century in the French league, when he was playing for Nimes, Reims and Monaco.

Former Algerian striker Rachid Makhloufi was ranked Al-Wasfa in the historical list, with 143 goals, which he scored in the French League also with the shirt of Saint-Etienne and Bastia, during the fifties and sixties of the last century.

The former Moroccan striker Al-Arabi Bin Mubarak finished third with 113 goals, scored in the Spanish League with Atletico Madrid, and the French League with Marseille jersey, during the period of the forties and fifties of the last century.

Salah comes in fourth place with 107 goals scored by the Italian, Liverpool, Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma teams, although he has the advantage to penetrate the list, as he is only 27 years old, and he has several years in the stadiums that could enable him to break a maximum number.

Former Algerian striker Mostafa Dahlab, with 102 goals, scored in the French League with the Paris Saint-Germain and Nice teams, came in fifth place.
