Rangers have sharply criticized the Scottish Football Association's proposal to end the three-year low season, warning of "severe consequences for Scottish football".

With the competition stalling against the backdrop of the recent outbreak of the Corona virus, the League League suggested that the clubs vote on the proposal to end the second, third and fourth levels season and determine the final positions according to the current arrangement.

The proposal does not include the Premier League, but rather recommends that its matches be postponed for the time being. But if the season cannot be ended, the same principle will be adopted in the positioning process.

In the event that this happens, the current ranking leader Celtic will be crowned champion of Scotland for the ninth year in a row, compared to the fall of the defeated Hearts in 12th place to the second level.

The second-placed Rangers coach, behind his English rivals Stephen Gerrard, said his club would oppose "in the strongest possible way" any attempt to change the prevailing rules.
