Färjestad has traditionally had many Norwegian players in the team, but during the past season there were no Norwegians in the squad.
So it will change for the next season when Henrik Haukeland joins. He comes from KooKoo in Finland.
- He has done well in Sweden previously with both Timrå and Leksand and has taken both clubs back to SHL. He is of a good age (25) and has during the last two seasons gained valuable experience from games in the Finnish league, says Färjestad's general manager Peter Jakobsson.
Haukeland himself says he has only heard good things about the club and the city.
- It is one of the top clubs in Europe and I hope to be able to take my development further as we get started. Looking forward to seeing my new hometown, he says.
Haukeland was named the 2017/2018 season as the goalkeeper of the year in the Allsvenskan.
