The Swedish high football series have been postponed for about two months due to the corona crisis. But neither are the new premiere dates - the damall Swede has scheduled the series start on May 31 and the gentleman the week following - are particularly realistic.

Not if you intend to play in front of the public anyway, says state epidemiologist Anders Tegnell.

- If you talk senior matches with a lot of spectators, then I think it sounds pretty optimistic. But we will see, we take one week at a time, Tegnell tells TT.

In the early summer, it will probably still be a bad idea to gather large crowds of people, whether it is football matches with packed stands or music festivals, says Tegnell.

- It's early to say something about it. But to gather a lot of people from different parts of the country during the early parts of the summer, the odds are not great for it to work.

By comparison, the government in Denmark has extended the ban on larger public gatherings to August 31. This means that Danish matches with audiences can only be held in September.

In addition, if they are to be able to play matches during the summer, the government must also ease the ban on gathering more than ten people, which is valid until May 10, which also includes outdoor sports.
