Senegalese striker Sadio Mane said he will understand the situation if his team is deprived of the Premier League title this season, due to the aftermath of the emerging Corona Virus outbreak (Covid-19).

Mane said in a statement to British Radio "Talk Sport" today, Wednesday, that thinking about not crowning the league title is difficult for Liverpool and its fans, but the current situation is more difficult for millions of people around the world who have lost family members due to the Coruna outbreak.

The 27-year-old striker explained that he hoped to win the league title, but he does not feel at the moment that the title has been decided, and stressed that he prefers the coronation and the title victory on the field.

Liverpool top the Premier League table and 25 points away from runners-up Manchester City, which is only two victories in the remaining nine games in order to clinch the title crown for the first time in thirty years.

The fate of the Premier League’s current season remains pending to recover from the virus crisis, and the League League confirmed last week that the season will return when the health situation stabilizes, which sparked speculation about the possibility of cancellation, in light of the lack of clarity about the date of the recurrence of the pandemic.
