The charm of teleworking also sometimes has its inconveniences, like certain sounds of our new environment which come to interfere with professional phone calls. But a star-up has developed a tool capable of making these parasitic noises disappear.

When you telecommute, it is sometimes difficult to make a professional phone call in peace (children crying, the dog barking, sirens on the street ...). But now there is a tool that removes all unwanted noise when you are on the phone.

It is a small program that uses artificial intelligence techniques to dissociate the voice from all the surrounding noises. Since we don't always have a place to isolate ourselves to make a major phone call, we put ourselves in the toilet for example. Except that now there is an echo and a ventilation noise. I just press this little button and no one will know where I isolated myself. Before, the buzz and the echo of the toilet, after, only my voice.

And it works like that in all cases. If the dog starts to bark, the children to cry or if the police pass, the function is activated, and the caller will no longer hear any noise.

A fortnight ago, you talked about a similar technology for video conferencing. What's new is that it happens on phones, right?

Yes, the startup Krisp.ai developed this program. It also works the other way around, that is, if someone calls you from a station hall, you can also cut out unwanted noise on their side to hear it better.

For now, this only works on iPhone and only for making phone calls to the USA and Canada. But other countries are expected to arrive soon. And the good news is that both Google and Apple are working on this technology. So after the "airplane" mode, we may have a "quiet" mode on all our mobile phones.
