UEFA President Alexander Severin believes that he sees no solution in the current stalled season in England, except for Liverpool's coronation as a Premier League champion, even if he did not complete the season due to the Corona virus.
"It will be necessary to announce the result in some way ... and to determine the hero," the European Union president told the Slovenian newspaper "Ekepa 24" today.
He added: "I don't see any scenario in which Liverpool does not exist. I understand the fans' disappointment if this happens in empty stadiums or through a decision. But I think they will win the league one way or another."
Liverpool are only two victories away from winning the first league title in the last 30 years, as the team's last titles go back to the 1890/90 season, and before the introduction of the Premier League system in 1992.
The Premier League was suspended on March 13, when Liverpool tops the standings with 82 points won from 29 games, 25 points behind defending champions Manchester City, which has a game in hand.
The league was temporarily suspended until June 30, and it was said that he would return only "with government support, and when medical counseling permits."
