Former Egyptian national team and Zamalek club Ahmed Hossam “Mido” criticized the return of French coach Zinedine Zidane to Real Madrid's training again, explaining that he had not added anything new to the team since he returned again to the leadership of the royal.

Zinedine Zidane returned in March of last year, after his departure in the summer of 2018 after achieving the historic Champions League trilogy in a row in his first term with Real Madrid, and saw the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo and the coach returned in an attempt to save the team.

"I really like Real Madrid, he is my favorite team in the Spanish league, but in my view Zidane did not add anything new to the team," Mido said in comments to the Spanish newspaper "AS".

Mido had starred in European stadiums and is considered the second best Egyptian player in foreign professionalism, after the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah and played with old European clubs, such as Ajax, Tottenham, England, and Celta Vigo of Spain.

The former Egyptian star star cited one of the Egyptian popular proverbs to confirm his point of view, saying: "You should not marry the same woman twice," referring to Zidane's appointment to a second term at the head of the Real Madrid club's technical management.

Mido also mentioned the best player in football history according to his point of view, saying that he believed Argentine legend Diego Maradona was the best.
