The French club Marseille has put its stadium "Velodrome" and its training headquarters at the disposal of health authorities in France, as part of a plan to combat the new Corona virus, as announced by the club today, Saturday.

Marseille issued a statement on its official website in which it indicated that the infrastructure it owns can also host the treating apparatus, storing materials or food items, or even "providing the necessary tools for the individuals who suffer."

"The efforts made in the frameworks of solidarity and unity have become more than necessary at a time when difficult days are approaching with the epidemic of Covid-19 reaching its climax.

The Marseille club praised the nursing workers and described them as "heroes every day".

A week ago, the Velodrome stadium was lit up to greet the nursing system and the anthem of Marseille supporters shouted "To arms, we are from Marseille."
