The Dijon football club (Ligue 1) made two donations of 100,000 euros each to hospitals in Dijon and Besançon to help them cope with the coronavirus epidemic. "The club is trying to bring its stone to the building during this period of cataclysm, explained to 20 minutes the president of the DFCO, Olivier Delcourt. There are only two CHUs in the Burgundy and Franche Comté regions, it is the least we can do to support healthcare staff on the front line. We also had 3600 croissants delivered. We think of them but also of all those who continue to work for everyone and who take the risk of bringing the virus home. ”

The Dijon University Hospital said for its part to AFP that a significant part of this sum would be dedicated "to the development of research work carried out by the establishment on the Covid-19". Other professional football clubs have made a financial gesture since the start of the health crisis, such as the PSG which donated 100,000 euros to the Secours populaire, or the Olympique Lyonnais which provided support of 300,000 euros to the fight against the virus.
