Byström was head of the biathlon team for a year before leaving for cross-country skiing, which he describes as "his sport".

- Anders has been with a lot. He came into a role that has not existed in biathlon with a more overall responsibility. Anders is a great person with whom you have had many good moments. It is clear that it is a bit sad that he changes, says Samuelsson.

What would you like to see in his replacement?

- The signal you have received from the union is that you will redo this role a little and it will be a little more horizontal to ski gyms, all national teams and the whole bit. Otherwise, it feels very good to have hired a new shooter and we also get a physical extra at half time. It feels like the biathlon team is investing and that we are on the rise.

Today the message also came that the union has hired Swiss Jean-Marc Chabloz as a shooting coach.

- I actually sat down with him and "Hagge" (Johan Hagström, shooter) once and evaluated last year and talked about how we work forward. I got a really good impression of him then, so it feels like a good recruitment, says Samuelsson.
