The British racing company not only operates a Formula 1 stable but also manufactures luxury cars and other technology solutions. It employs around 3,700 people, 850 of whom work with the F1 stable.
Hundreds of people are exempted from the layoffs (which means that they cut down on working hours but still have to retain most of their salary) because they are working on a project to produce respirators for the healthcare system.
It is unclear when the Formula One season can start.
