Recently Lugi's current men's coach Tomas Axnér was presented as the new national team for the Swedish ladies. He takes over after Henrik Signell. Today, his closest colleague, former team captain and defense manager Johanna Wiberg, was introduced.

- Of course, it's very funny. I have never let go of the interest in handball, even though I have watched the national team more remotely in recent years when family life and work have taken their time, Wiberg says to the union.

Be an expert at SVT

Johanna Wiberg finished after the London 2012 Olympics after 145 national championships and several championships. The 36-year-old tested after her playing career on both the role of assistant coach at Lugi but also as an expert commentator, where she worked for both SVT and TV4.

After giving priority to family life and work at the Polhem School in Lund, she now returns to the handball and will form a national couple with another Lugi profile, Tomas Axnér.

- Tomas is very good at working with the technical and poking in the small details, while the idea is that I should look more at the whole. I bring in a great deal of experience and knowledge of what it is like to be a player during collections and championships and with an understanding of how everything around everything works. I think that perspective is extremely important and it will be extremely fun to be part of this journey and fight to win new medals for Sweden, says Wiberg to handbolllandslaget.se.

Hopefully, Wiberg's first championship will be the European Championships in Denmark / Norway in December, the same countries she was in and took silver in ten years ago. Next summer then waits if things return to normal even the Tokyo Olympics where Sweden has very good chances to qualify.
