The International Orientation Association has set the World Cup, where Bergman is the reigning champion, and the European Championships in Estonia. The Sprint World Cup in Denmark, which was to be decided in July, has been postponed to autumn - without further details.

- Two of three big goals for the year are gone and one is postponed for an undetermined future, Bergman, 29, thinks before SVT Sport.

Right now, the Ravinen orienteer Bergman is training a lot of heavy loads and long time in the forest. The changed schedule for the season places other requirements for finding the top of the mold at the right time.

"I probably need a little break"

- I haven't really decided what to do. The World Cup will continue to be the big goal of the year but if it will be in October instead of in July there will be some difference in how I train. I have a month left of pretty heavy training before I would release a little before the World Cup. If the World Cup is postponed for three months, it should be another three months with heavy training, says Bergman but does not think it is the right way to go. It can be too heavy for too long.

- I probably need to take a little break so as not to break me down too much physically. We still know little by little, if in a week we may have got the date and can work towards it, ”says Bergman.
