Former president of Olympique de Marseille from 2005 to 2009, Pape Diouf (68) contracted the coronavirus and is hospitalized in Dakar, Senegal, where he lives part of the year. According to information from La Provence and L'Equipe , he was placed on respiratory assistance on Saturday, before his condition worsened thereafter.

The ex-agent was reportedly contaminated in Senegal after returning from a business trip to CĂ´te d'Ivoire. Pape Diouf should be repatriated to France overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in order to be treated on the side of Nice, as his family wanted.
