It was late on Saturday that wife Isil Recber wrote about the incident with the 46-year-old husband on her Instagram:
“I want to share the truth with you in as transparent a way as I can. My husband Rüstü has been hospitalized after being diagnosed with covid-19. We are in shock at how quickly the symptoms suddenly developed, after everything was normal, ”Isil Recber writes.
Isil and the two children were tested negative. Recber has been isolated in the hospital and the family must not visit during this critical phase, Reuters writes.
FC Barcelona: "We love you"Rüstü Recber, easily recognized with his ponytail, has national team record for Turkey with 120 international matches. The highlight was 2002 when Turkey reached the World Cup semi-finals. He ended his career in 2012.
Recber achieved his greatest successes with Fenerbahce and Besiktas and had a failed victory in Barcelona in 2004 with only four matches. However, he is not forgotten.
