After rugby and handball, it is the turn of the French Basketball Federation to announce the final cessation of its championships (departmental, regional and national) and cups (particularly the Coupe de France) for the current season.

Only the future of the Women's League remains in abeyance since a final decision will be announced on April 10 after reassessing the context of the coronavirus epidemic. As a reminder, this FFBB decision does not concern ProA and ProB (the two professional men's championships) managed by the National Basketball League.

No champion title, no accession, no relegation

In the interests of unity, all federal decisions apply to all club competitions (championships and cups, 3x3 club championships), seniors and young people, federal, regional and departmental. For all championships, there will be neither champion title, nor accession, nor relegation except for a few exceptional cases, especially if the professional championships were to resume.

Having always aimed to preserve the health of its licensees, the FFBB has decided to stop all of its championships (departmental, regional and national) and Cups for the current season. The details here: https: //t.co/3PGKKIGz88 pic.twitter.com/S8LQ9kzKfu

Finally, the FFBB announces that the final of the French Women's Cup between Bourges Basket and Lyon ASVEL feminine, will be played at the resumption of the 2020-2021 season, instead of the Match of Champions.
