Fuat Usta will leave as MVV trainer after this season. The Limburg club has decided not to disclose the option in the expiring contract of the coach.
As a result, 47-year-old Usta remains active as head coach of MVV for only one season. Assistant coach Roger Reijners will also leave the club next summer.
Usta is disappointed that MVV does not want to continue with him. "I am sorry and disappointed that my contract will not be renewed," he said on his club's website. "I would like to continue to contribute to the ambitions that MVV has expressed."
MVV occupies fifteenth place in the Kitchen Champion Division. The people of Maastricht disappoint this season in away games, in which only five points were caught.
"In my view, however, there were enough points for improvement to continue," said Usta. "Nevertheless, I would like to thank everyone at MVV for the opportunity they gave me. It was an important experience in my still early career as a head coach."
Usta was previously assistant coach at Fortuna Sittard, head coach at Turkey under 23, assistant to Guus Hiddink at the Turkish national team and head of youth academy at Russia's Anzhi Makhachkala.
