600,000 people attend Fise in Montpellier every year. - Armand Lenoir

Fise (International Festival of Extreme Sports) was postponed, probably in August, due to the coronavirus pandemic. It was to take place as every year during the Ascension weekend on the banks of the Lez, in Montpellier. Fise brings together around 600,000 spectators each year. This is the third free event organized in France.

"This is an unprecedented decision, and probably one of the most difficult we have had to make since the festival was created in 1997," explains Hervé André-Benoît, founder of Fise and CEO of Hurricane, the company in charge of its organization. In France, and everywhere on the planet, we must assume our responsibilities as citizens, as an event for professionals, but also as enthusiasts of action sports, in this fight for the health of all. "

The dates for the postponement of Fise should be known soon. Ten other dedicated urban sports events organized by Hurricane, which were to take place in China, France, Spain or Japan, are canceled or postponed.
