Olympic Village apartments to be vacated later

Concerning the partners of the Olympic Games, Mr. Bach indicated that it was "logical that the sponsors of the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020 retain their rights even if these Games are organized in 2021". Asked about the Olympic Village, Thomas Bach said that it was "one of the thousands of questions that will have to be answered".

The village must accommodate 11,000 athletes. In any event, it will have to postpone for several months the use of equipment that the Organizing Committee must then release, such as the apartments in the Olympic Village which must accommodate 11,000 sportsmen before being sold. According to the site promoters, 4,145 apartments must be sold. Of the first batch of 940 homes put up for sale in the summer of 2019, most have already found a buyer, according to local press.
