A report on the Dubai Sports Council revealed that the initiative "Keep you active ... and keep you healthy", which was launched by the council via social media, last week, has proven that the percentage of men following the initiative reached 79%, while the percentage of women reached 21%.

The report indicated that most of the followers of the youth ranged between 25 and 34 years, where they accounted for 66.7% of the followers, and the percentage of young followers from the age of 18 to 24 reached 20.6%, and the rest of the 11.8% of followers were distributed among children and adults between 35 and 65 years Also, the category of participants in the initiative included those of determination.

The percentage of followers from the Arabs reached 50.4%, and among the speakers of the English language 47.5%, and among the followers were speakers of Italian, French, Russian and Urdu languages.

The Dubai Sports Council stated, in a press release, that the initiative aims to urge the public from all segments of society to continue practicing sports and physical activity training in homes, using the tools and equipment available to them, no matter how simple, by implementing simple physical exercises that suit all groups. And physical levels, without the need to go out, in order to preserve the health, activity and happiness of all members of society, so that participants benefit positively from their commitment to staying at home, as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the "Covid-19" virus.

The public can participate in the “Stay Active… and Stay Healthy” initiative, by publishing videos of their training from home, through their accounts on social media, using the Dubai Sports Council Challenge #DSCChallenge tag, and participants can nominate two of their friends to participate in the challenge, Until the Dubai Sports Council re-publish the video to its official account.

The Dubai Sports Council commended the interaction of the national media institutions with the initiative, as tweets, messages, films and pictures were supported, which support the initiative and encourage various groups of society to continue sports and physical activity exercises at home during the current period, to maintain a healthy body and strengthen blood circulation and the immune system .

And a group of official gyms and training centers accredited in Dubai have launched training programs that are broadcasted directly through social media, and home fitness training is provided by a group of professional trainers working in it.

Athletes from inside and outside the country interacted with the initiative, as the council follows up on the accounts of athletes and sports officials from different countries. They saw the initiative and a number of them expressed their happiness and admiration for it.

Athletes and hobbyists interacted with the initiative by creating various sports training, appropriate to the area of ​​the home and the training place, whether in the home garden, the roof, or inside the rooms, and by using various means, including body weight as a fulcrum, or various household means that are part of the training equipment.

The initiative encouraged many people to send hundreds of photos and movies for their training, and to involve people from friends and family as well as children.
