Denise Herrmann went from being a strong skier to becoming a world star in biathlon in less than two years. She started practicing biathlon in April 2016, and already in December 2017 took her first world cup victory in biathlon - when she won the sprint in Östersund.
And she is convinced that Stina Nilsson will be able to make the same trip.
- She needs time, but I know she is motivated for the challenge. I know she works hard. I took big steps myself at the start, and then the next step is to start competing. I think we will see her in the World Cup next season, ”Herrmann told Norwegian NRK.
"Far from perfect"Herrmann himself has seen the pictures of Stina Nilsson's biathlon competition.
- It looked far from perfect, but not so bad either. It looked worse to me, says Herrmann, who believes that fine Olympic results in 2022 are possible:
- I think her goal is Olympics 2022 and that she aims to achieve the same results as in cross-country skiing.
- I think she will fight for medals there.
