The Appeals Committee of the Egyptian Football Association issued its decisions regarding the two top games between Al-Ahly and Zamalek in the Egyptian Super that was held in the Emirates, in addition to the Egyptian League match in which the Egyptian Zamalek withdrew.

The first game had seen many problems between the players after the match, in addition to the withdrawal of Zamalek in the Egyptian League match.

The Appeals Committee accepted the grievance submitted by the two clubs and reduced the period of suspension of the players Mahmoud Kahraba, Imam Ashour and administrative Zamalek Ahmed Zahir, and the statement came as follows:

"The Appeals Committee of the Egyptian Football Association decided to accept the grievance submitted by Al-Ahly and Zamalek clubs over the penalties issued by the Discipline and Ethics Committee for the events of the Egyptian Super Match, which was held in the UAE on February 20 in form."

The statement added: "In the matter, I decided to amend the two penalties issued against Al-Ahly player Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Kahraba and Zamalek player Imam Ashour by making them suspended 10 games each."

He continued: "Amending the punishment issued for the administrators of Zamalek Club Ahmed Zahir by making it a 12-match ban and supporting the decisions issued by the Discipline and Ethics Committee except for that."

The statement continued: "With regard to the grievance submitted by Zamalek Club against the decision of the Competitions Committee dated February 26, the Appeals Committee decided to accept it in form and rejected it as a matter of objection."

Thus, the Appeals Committee rejected Al-Zamalek's grievance over the summit match, which the white team did not attend due to bad weather conditions.
