The tournament for the women's golf domestic tour will be canceled from the opening round scheduled for 5th of this month and the 2nd round due to the spread of the new coronavirus. The 3rd round will be a three-day tournament starting 20th of this month in Kagoshima Prefecture. It was scheduled to take place in Aira City, Japan.
The Japan Women's Professional Golf Association and others have carefully considered holding the third round, but decided to cancel it on the 13th to ensure the safety of players and spectators.
The organizer of the event stated, "We are taking the government's stance to prevent the spread of infection as a national issue, and have decided to abort it, even though the prospects for control are still low."
