Due to the spread of the corona virus, SHL and the Swedish Ice Hockey Association announced that they would postpone the SM playoffs until March 24. Today, first the hockey general Swede and later SDHL made the same decision. The SDHL finals are also shortened from the best of five to three matches. However, tonight's final is set because both Luleå and HV71 have players who have fallen ill. However, it is unclear what it is for diseases.

And what the ups and downs between the hockey general Swan and SHL are right now is unclear.

- This is a whole new situation that nobody has been prepared for at all. We realize that we cannot continue with players. In the meantime, the elite committee will look at different situations. We have set a limit for March 20 when we need to make a decision, says Anders Larsson, chairman of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association to SVT Sport.

Different scenarios

The International Hockey Association (IIHF) was forced to cancel the women's A and B World Cup. The IIHF decided that all teams should remain in the division that belonged to the season. If the Swedish Ice Hockey Association will go the same way, Anders Larsson does not want to go in.

- I don't want to speculate about that and the elite committee is working on scenarios right now, he tells SVT Sport.

At the same time, Modo and Björklöven, who won the hockeyall Swede, demand that they be moved up.

- The only reasonable thing is that we and Björklöven are moved up to SHL. It must be so. We have played our part in this position, says Modo's CEO Johan Widebro to Sportbladet.
