The announcement of the marathon came two weeks after the date of organizing the experimental version that was held on February 12, and was successful with the race of thirteen riders from the desert knights who joined previous versions of the camel journey organized by the center and the marathon will be organized starting next year.
The CEO of the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Center for the Revival of Heritage Abdullah Hamdan Bin Dalmouk said: "In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the center will organize a marathon of camel journey officially in every year, and the door for participation will be open in it for all foreigners residing on the state's land and visitors from abroad And, without conditions or restrictions limiting their participation ... The center will provide them with the necessary training for those wishing to learn to ride camel and participate in this special marathon ... The center will organize before the marathon an experimental race that proves the merit of the person who registered for this marathon and its readiness to run the race. "
Ibn Dalmouk explained that this marathon is unprecedented, and confirms the state's march to excellence in all fields. The prizes for the beta version of the Camel Journey Marathon exceeded 350,000 dirhams, and the honoring ceremony was held yesterday in the estate dedicated to training, where the first place winner, Chinese Alexis, got a car, while the contestants until the thirteenth place received cash prizes.
