The American police said that they are investigating the source of current photos from the crash site of the helicopter, which was carrying retired basketball player Kobe Bryant, his daughter and seven of the companions.

Bryant, who has been crowned NBA five times in his 20 years with a Lakers shirt, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven other people died when the helicopter crashed in rough terrain west of Los Angeles on January 26.

Two days ago, the Los Angeles Times newspaper spoke about the circulation of photographs from the scene showing human remains, and made it clear that he did not know whether the pictures were taken by police who were at the site.

For his part, the American "TMZ" website - which was the first to announce the death of Bryant - stated that a bar owner filed a lawsuit against a police trainer who was showing pictures of the incident to another customer.

The police confirmed that they are investigating these photos and are seeking to find their source and determine whether police officers were behind the leak.

The Sikorsky S76b helicopter crashed in Calabasas, around 10 am local time on January 26, as heavy fog surrounded the city.

According to the information reported by the American newspapers, the flight data indicated difficulties that occurred when the plane flew over the Los Angeles Zoo when the pilot was informed that he was flying at low altitude.

A few minutes later, the plane appears to have crashed into a hill about 520 meters from the ground, before it caught fire. The plane had no black box, as it was not required for this type of aircraft.
