Since the 2012/2013 season, Köhler has worked on the union as a team manager, and for a period also as the administrative manager for Tre Kronor, Damkronorna and Juniorkronorna.

As recently as during the Beijer Hockey Games in the Globe a few weeks ago he was with and around the Swedish national team. Last week, however, he left his mission with immediate effect.

"Can't go into details"

When SVT Sport reaches Köhler, who in his role as team manager ensures that everything administratively around Tre Kronor works, he does not want to talk about it.

"I'm at dinner and hear from me tomorrow," he says, before quickly ending the call.

However, the Swedish ice hockey association's secretary general Tommy Boustedt confirms the information that Köhler has quit, and claims it was on Köhler's own initiative.

- He has informed his manager Olof Östblom that he does not want to be a team manager in the future, he says.

Why did he want to quit?

- I can't go into the details about it.

What do you think he quits?

- I don't want any comments on that. But he has been around for decades and participated in many tournaments and done well.

"Working to find a replacement"

Who is replacing him is not yet clear.

- Olof Östblom (the competition manager at the union) is working to find a replacement. Then whether it will be temporary or permanent or how it will be, we will see.
