His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, stressed the need to keep pace with the sports sector for developments in all sectors of life in the state, since sport is an essential and important part of the movement of life, and it should have a clear contribution in all sectors, and in Indicators of development, growth, productivity, and happiness of community members.

His Highness stressed that «governance is not a slogan we raise, but rather an approach to work and an important basis for achieving sporting success, for successful management is the basis of all successes, as it chooses the technical elements and appropriate work teams to perform duties, and launches and manages development programs, the selection and care of talented people, and the optimal investment of resources. Governance is an essential element in improving sports management, as it prevents the work from being focused on one or two individuals, and making hasty and ill-considered decisions. His Highness directed to work in multiple directions, with strength and momentum, to develop national cadres, and to develop work in clubs, in order to achieve the best investment of financial and human resources and available facilities, as well as work to support and maintain the events organizing sector, and launch new activities that suit the stage, thereby enhancing Dubai's position in The world of sport, spreading sports within the country, and also enhancing the contribution of sport to the national economy, and promoting sport tourism.
