British authorities arrested a person accused of hacking the email of Spanish coach Pep Guardiola.

The British "BBC" reported that the police released the 30-year-old suspect after questioning him about the case, and will continue to investigate him later.

She pointed out that the defendant broke the email of the Manchester City coach and obtained information related to the players of the team and some contracts.

She explained that the case dates back to 2017, and confirmed that the hacker tried to sell the information he obtained to the British newspaper Sun for 100,000 pounds (about 117,000 euros). The newspaper reported to the Manchester City administration that filed a complaint with the police.

The Manchester City administration said that the hacker was working as a consultant with a company contracted with the team in the field of informatics, and explained that it had terminated its contract with that company two years ago.
