The German automaker Volkswagen reached a compensation agreement with the VZBV consumer association, which represents some 400,000 customers affected by the scandal of diesel trucks, the Brunswick court announced Friday.

"At the end of the multi-day negotiations," the two sides "concluded an agreement" that could end the greater trial in Germany for the so-called "Dieselgate," which began in September, the court said in a statement.
