The committee supervising the Football Association’s elections, during its meeting yesterday at the Federation’s headquarters in Dubai, headed by the Vice-Chairman of the Committee, Counselor Mohamed Al-Hafiti, adopted the final list of candidates for membership of the Football Association Board presented by Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al-Nuaimi, who recently won the position of Chairman The Union by acclamation, bearing in mind that the committee has set five o'clock yesterday evening a deadline to present the candidate for the position of President of the Union, the final list of its candidates for membership of the Board of Directors for the new electoral cycle 2020-2024, while 12 of March next set a date for the elections. The final list of candidates for membership in the Board of Directors during the elections to be held on March 12 are: Hisham Mohamed Al Zarouni (Sharjah Club), Hamid Ahmed Al Tayer (Al Nasr Club), Ali Hamad Al Badawi (Hatta Club), Saif Majid Al Mansouri (Al Dhafra Club), Salem Ali Al Shamsi (Al Ain Club), Ahmed Youssef Darwish (Emirates Club), Youssef Hussein Al Sahlawi (Al Hamriyah Club), and Amal Hassan Abu Shalakh (Ras Al Khaimah Club). The list of names nominated by the presidential candidate included: Khalfan Juma Belhoul and Ibrahim Salman Al Hammadi and Salem Abdullah Al Shamsi.

It is noteworthy that the General Assembly of the Football Association was granted during its last meeting five seats in the membership of the Board of Directors of the Football Association for Professional League clubs, three seats for first-class clubs, and three others are chosen by the candidate for the position of President of the Union.

On the other hand, the Football Association’s Transitional Committee will hold its fourth meeting at the headquarters of the Football Association in Dubai, at four thirty in the afternoon of next Monday, in the presence of members of the Committee.
