The number of Tokyo Marathon volunteers is also less than one-tenth at 7:46 on February 26

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, the Tokyo Marathon, which stopped the participation of general runners, has reduced the number of volunteers of more than 10,000 to around 900, less than one-tenth.

The Tokyo Marathon Foundation, which hosts the Tokyo Marathon on the 1st of next month, has dropped about 38,000 regular runners to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

Since the event was restricted to invited players only, the Foundation was also considering a number of approximately 11,000 volunteers who had been drawn and decided to participate.

As a result, the required training was taken in advance and the number of volunteer leaders was reduced to about 900, which was reduced to less than one-tenth of the original schedule.

In order to prevent the spread of the infection, the activities of the participating volunteers will also be limited, and there will be no water supply that may touch the athletes.

The Foundation says that volunteers who cannot participate this time will be able to participate as volunteers at next year's convention.
