Luleåbacken Nils Lundkvist joined SHL two seasons ago and has since been given the team.

When the 19-year-old made his 115th match today in the Swedish high league, basic series and playoffs, he became historic.

In the away meeting with Växjö Lakers, he and Konstantin Komarek played until Noel Gunler 7.06 in the first period. Gunler put the puck behind goalkeeper Viktor Andrén and the goal meant 2-0 to the north bouts.

For Lundkvist it was his 25th point (6 + 19) for the season in 38 matches. That means he goes past former Skellefteåback Tim Erixon in the junior league points league through the ages. Erixon accounted for 24 points in 48 games in 2010/2011.

- It's obviously super fun. It's not that often you have the opportunity to hit a record. You have to be a little proud of yourself and what you have achieved.
