On March 6, Robin Söderling will make his debut on the rigid line as captain of the Swedish Davis Cup team receiving Chile in the Royal Tennis Hall. Today, Söderling's first squad was presented, which features a debutant, 22-year-old Carl Söderlund, ranked 812th in the world.

Other names in the squad are: Elias and Mikael Ymer, Markus Eriksson and veteran Robert Lindstedt.

- This is the team I think has the greatest chance of winning. Mikael Ymer has been Sweden's best player for the past year. Elias Ymer is a player who holds the top 100 level when he plays best. Robert Lindstedt has the routine required in such matches and Markus Eriksson has played well in the Davis Cup and can double in singles and doubles. The most difficult was the fifth player, but the gut feeling says Carl Söderlund who has played really well in the USA, says Robin Söderling in a press release.

The meeting will start on March 6 and the winner will receive a place in the World Finals to be played in Madrid in November.
