Serge Simon, the vice-president of the FFR, had given support last week to Marvin Woki, the brother of the third line of the XV of France. The latter denounced racist remarks and gestures against him during a Federal 1 (third division) match between Tarbes and Lannemezan. "Dirty black, go home" would have launched the opposing hooker in a very tense encounter.

This Monday noon, the French Rugby Federation announces via its Twitter account that its federal office "is carrying out an investigation by its legal committee to establish the truth about the supposedly racist comments" during this meeting.

Be reassured @cameronwoki. Zero tolerance for any racist or discriminatory act or speech! In our Rugby as in our Republic racism and intolerance have no place. We will assume our institutional role. @FranceRugby https://t.co/Rj2o4E6RvN

During an interview at 20 Minutes, Marvin Woki denounced remarks "inadmissible and that have nothing to do on a field and anywhere else" while recalling that the player in question had not apologized. The Tarbes player then thought about filing a complaint.
