The Discipline and Ethics Committee of the Egyptian Football Association decided at its meeting on Saturday to suspend Al-Ahly player Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim (Kahraba), Zamalek player Imam Ashour and team administrator Ahmed Zaher until the end of the season, and imposed a fine of 100,000 pounds (about 6,450 dollars) each.

The committee also decided to stop Zamalek player Mahmoud Abdel Razek (Shikabala) eight games and a fine of 100,000 pounds, to stop his teammate Abdullah Juma three games and a fine of 50 thousand pounds (about 3200 dollars), and to stop Al-Ahly players Yasser Ibrahim and Junior Ajay two games and a fine of 50 thousand pounds each .

The committee ruled to fine Al-Ahly and Zamalek clubs 100 thousand pounds, and prevented the president of Zamalek club Mortada Mansour from participating in football activities three games, in addition to a fine of 200 thousand pounds (about 12800 dollars).

The Disciplinary Committee of the Egyptian Football Association held a meeting on Saturday to discuss the events of the Super Cup match that was held last Thursday between Al-Ahly and Zamalek in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi and witnessed skirmishes between the players of the two teams after its end, with Zamalek winning a penalty shootout.
